Surrey City Council has approved changes to speed up housing delivery by altering the role of the Advisory Design Panel (ADP). The ADP will no longer review residential buildings of six storeys or less, or commercial buildings of three storeys or less. This is expected to reduce the number of projects reviewed by the ADP by 60% to 70% and shorten approval timelines. The City's urban design staff will still assess applications before recommending them to the Council.
